AIM-U is one of the new generation medical schools, which offers residency focused and USMLE-centered programs.
MD Program
AIM-U 's 4-year MD program is fully accredited and widely recognized in the USA.
Students can complete the full program in Saint Lucia where the School of Medicine 's main campus is located.
The 4-year MD program is offered in Saint Lucia, which is affiliated with Victoria Hospital, the national hospital.
The MD program consists of 11 semesters, 5 semesters of pre-clinical and 6 trimesters of clinical rotations.
All the successful students of pre-clinical will have options for clinical rotations in USA. Based on individual options, the hospitals will be allotted for the clinical students.
The affiliated hospitals are located in the Greater Washington DC, Chicago and Atlanta.
By virtue of recognition with ECFMG / FAIMER’s IMED, the successful medical graduates of the university can apply for the medical license in the USA.
The international recognition of the university has been confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The school is listed with WHO-Avicenna directories. AIM-U is also approved for National Board for Medical Examiners (NBME) for its evaluation system.
AIM-U students are eligible to practice in USA, Canada and India. MCI India approves the school, so students can also go back to India after the program.
AIM-U 's premedical, 5th semester and clinical rotations programs are offered at both locations; Saint Lucia and Washington DC campuses.
The Clinical Rotations are also offered through AIM-U 's affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Chicago, London, Ireland, and in India for electives.

AIM-U is proud to offer Post MD programs for International Medical Graduates (IMGs).
These programs will facilitate IMGs to gain clinical experience in the opted specialty.
IMGs will have the opportunity to secure temporary license through the following programs.
Post MD Diploma Program (one (1) year),
Post MD Certificate Program (six (6) months),
Post MD Externship six months or one year (No temporary license privileges available)
These programs will offer a unique opportunity for medical doctors, introducing skills and experience necessary to succeed in the challenging health-care environment of tomorrow.
These programs are designed to prepare medical doctors for residency, increasing their chances of getting into residency in USA.
Medical Doctors will be issued a temporary license, which will allow them to have hands-on experience up to six (6) months through certificate program and one (1) year through diploma program.
IMGs have options to apply without temporary license. The admitted IMGs will have options to select Post MD diploma or certificate programs.
The diploma program will be three (3) semester long and the certificate program will be about two (2) semester long.
The admitted IMGs will go through a pre-qualifying process; upon successful pre-qualifying process, the admitted IMGs will start the temporary licensing process.
This process will typically lasts up to four (4) weeks. The qualified IMGs will be issued temporary license from the state of Illinois.
If you are an IMG outside of the USA, documentations will be issued by the school and the teaching hospital affiliated to the University for the Visa processing.
After successful visa procedures the candidate will proceed to start the application process for temporary license.
Upon successful completion of all this process, students will be allowed to start the program in the teaching hospital which is affiliated to AIM-U.
