Akamai is seeking a Product Marketing Manager with the creativity,
vision, drive, and experience to execute go to market and sales enablement
activities for Akamai s Media Division. Areas of focus would include the Akamai
mobile solutions focused on delivering OTT video content using unique,
innovative products for India and other mobile first markets. You will be a
voice for Akamai's mobile video delivery services to internal and external
audiences including customers, sales, industry, financial analysts and media.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical skills, and the drive
to help make Akamai s product goals a reality.
This position will work as part of an experienced India based team
responsible for mobile solutions for Akamai Media Division. This team is focused
on developing new, innovative products for India and emerging markets that
leverage Akamai s unique position in delivering video OTT using its highly-distributed
Develop and execute Product Marketing go-to-market in line with
mobile delivery solutions in the Media Division.
Plan and execute global launch activities for video delivery
products using emerging technologies such as unlicensed WIFI and LTE
technologies as they become available for sale, with specific focus on India.
Create localized industry case studies, sales communications,
presentations, competitive tools and training for Sales and Customers based on
the Global core collateral and Industry Marketing resources.
Work closely with Sales and Product Management to understand the
needs of the marketplace; help to formulate future Product Marketing strategies
Guide the vision and creation of Akamai s customer facing value
reports with critical input from sales and customer stakeholders
Cross-functional collaboration with Global Sales, Channel,
Product Management, Marketing Communications, Engineering & Marketing
Attend relevant industry trade-shows, sponsorship and customer
Support direct sales activities by keeping meetings with end
customers and Akamai Sales representatives
in regular basis.
Support partner relationships for the associated products.
20% travel is required.
Bachelor s Degree in a technical discipline
Experience: 8+ years
of professional experience
3+ years of Product
Marketing, Industry Marketing or equivalent experience
3+ years of Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales or equivalent
3+ years of experience
working with mobile and internet technologies or equivalent experience
and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex
technical concepts to a broad range of business audiences
Knowledge of the CDN
industry, including the ecosystem of partners and competitors
An understanding of mobile
technologies including WIFI, 3G/4G networks and cloud based video delivery (OTT) ecosystem
A proven history of
growing revenue thru Product Marketing and/or Industry Marketing for new and/or
mature product lines
ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle
challenging business situations
