We are mobile advertisers where depending on the customer requirement we devise campaigns for brand building, sales increase, footfalls etc. These campaigns though they are driven by the mobile medium extend to the web as well. We use WAP sites, wallpapers, games, screen savers, trailers etc with embedded advertising for some of these campaigns. For the others we work with mobile operators in voice contests and other network dependent activities. SMS is a way by which, at times, we promote our campaigns. If we do adopt the SMS promotion we do it with extreme care that the demography of the database is very clearly defined and the databases are scrubbed of the DND list. SMS medium works well with student or low income groups whose handsets allow very little else. Its particularly annoying and ineffective for a large set of campaigns.
