Traveling to India and I Need a Motorcycle.

I will be traveling to New Delhi the first of November 2009 and I wish to purchase a motorbike to travel into Nepal. It is important that the bike be in good working order and have enough room for bags. I have around $500 us dollars to spend on a motorcycle and will be looking to sell the bike back in the same area before I leave in December.. Does anyone have advice? Thank you for your help.
