Job Title: Sales Officer
Job Location: Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Noida, Pune
Job Description:
JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Regular servicing of the trade – including chemist and non chemist outlets ( grocers/general stores/food stores) by way of regular retail order booking and processing
• Expand distribution to the non chemist segment and ensure product placement into non chemist segment where we do not have presence
• Would play a role in identifying FMCG stockists through their market contacts and help our ABMs in appointing new FMCG stockists wherever required
• Working closely with the stockist and his sales men /ISR in ensuring proper coverage and servicing of specified market and route plans .
• Working closely with the Medical team (NSEs) for ensuring adequate stock pressure and servicing of key chemist outlets from where prescription flow is monitored to prevent bouncing of prescription
• Undertaking merchandising activity across the retail spectrum – chemist and non chemist outlets to ensure visibility of products and putting up of POS material (point of sale material like posters/danglers etc); Negotiating with retail for product displays etc
• Would be responsible for achieving their monthly secondary sales through effective retailing and primary targets by way of procuring stockist orders
• Selling and implementing trade and consumer schemes in the retail market as and when announced
• Coordinate with CFA for ensuring supplies of stock to the stockist against orders received and order processing of stockists
• Explaining the companies margin structure to the stockist and trade in enlisting his support and credit period /commercial terms – this becomes critical in undertaking retail expansion in markets where we do have a presence in the non chemist segment
• Have and maintain excellent rapport with key customers – stockist and retailers
Skill, Education, Experience:
• Graduates / Post graduates in the age group of 25- 30 years with 1-5 yrs experience as SR (sales representative) or SO (Sales Officer) with consumer health care or FMCG companies
• Exposure to sales and distribution environment in any consumer / OTC or FMCG category
Should have worked in a similar capacity with either
a) Consumer product companies ( like Marico, / Godrej / Dabur / Parle / Pepsi / Heinz / CavinCare / Wipro / Amul etc).
OR
b) OTC / quasi OTC companies having FMCG stockist distribution network like Cadila consumer products or Novartis consumer health ( Calcium Sandoz) etc

Behavioral:
• Energetic, a go getter, hard working.
• Good interpersonal and basic selling skills
• Good working knowledge of English plus good command of local language and Hindi would be a prerequisite
Functional / Technical:
• Commercial knowledge of working of trade margin structures etc plus a terrain knowledge of the market for which the candidate is being considered.
