The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is a 91-year old global organization with over 183,000 members and students in more than 168 countries. CIMA is a chartered body, which received the Royal Charter in 1975 and it is headquartered in London. CIMA, a recognized body by the International Federation of Accountants, was founded by the same person who started Unilever to meet the demands for trained management accountants globally.

CIMA provides an internationally recognised accountancy qualification, which is unique in its focus on accounting for business. Unlike traditional accountancy qualifications, such as ACCA and ICAEW that focus on audit and tax, CIMA s professional qualification has a strategic business focus.
