Brainscape has now come out with digital flashcards which are superior to the normal flashcard. Questions in this ask users to reflect on answers by noting their confidence on them. These confidence grades are used to find how often these cards should be spaced in the deck.
Andrew Cohen, founder of Brainscape, who has a Master’s degree in Educational Technology conducted a study with 10 Colombia students. He compared the effectiveness between this Brainscape app and the normal flashcards. He found that students using Brainscape scored better.
Since August Brainscape has launched 22 1Phone app. covering Test Prep, Vocabulary, National Capital, Blackjack plays and drink recipes. It is launching a Spanish app for $40 which would help on sentence structure and vocabulary conjugation. All the Flashcards would be free on their website and payment would be only for mobile convenience. Over 130 000 people have already registered.
Brainscape plans to have all its content in one portal app which would allow users to access premium content through in-app purchases. This would also allow mobile make-your-own Flashcards.
Basically, Brainscape would let you learn anywhere quickly and efficiently
