Apple’s legacy is its brand value

Apple is an American multinational designing and marketing consumer electronics, computer software and personal computers. Apple is one of the largest companies that operate 301 retail stores in ten countries and an online store where one can shop for hardware and software products.
Apple has surpassed both Microsoft and Google to become the most valuable consumer brand says global research agency Millward Brown. While Google brand decreased 2% to $111.5 billion with McDonald, IBM and Microsoft rounded out the top five it was Apple’s huge success with iPad and iPhone4 that pushed the brand value up 84% to $153.3 billion.
Baidu, the search engine in China rose to 141% placing it at number 29 and it was Facebook that showed a 246% increase in brand value to $19.1 billion- the greatest leap to number 35 for the first time.
Amazon (14) became the most valuable retail brand in the world at $37.6 billion, Toyota became the most valuable car brand and 12 top brands were all from China. Brand values were determine through consumer surveys and various other factors including the company’s future earnings.
Apple is no doubt the most profitable brand but not many people can afford Apple’s expensive products. Nevertheless Apple has definitely changed the world with their products.
