Cloud Music Service by Apple

Posted on Friday, May 20th, 2011 at 7:27 am

The Electric and Music al Industries Ltd or EMI music is the fourth largest music company headquartered in London. The company produces sound recordings as well as recording and playback equipment.

Apple has recently signed a licensing deal for a cloud music service with EMI and is also on the way of signing up with Warner, Sony and Universal. Spotify ,iTunes and Last FM are some of the online music streaming services that allow internet users to listen to full music tracks.

Apple’s  icloud (cloud based music streaming service) came to be limelight after Google Music was launched. At the WWDC conference in June Apple is likely to release its cloud music service.

With Apple promising to offer additional features like scanning iTunes library to offer same songs immediately- something that is not available in Google or Amazon cloud based music service where users have to upload music.

As Amazon Cloud player can be virtually used anywhere it remains to be seen if the icloud can scan iTunes library and offer the songs requested by the user. Apple will surely have to provide what they have promised to appeal the users.
