Property card is the government certified property ownership title.
The Gujarat government has started a pilot project in seven municipal corporations Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Bhavnagar.
All registration of new property will be done only through ‘property cards’.
The state government had decided to make use of ‘property cards’ mandatory for authenticating the ownership of property in urban areas.
It had also announced that all property ownership records in the urban areas would be converted into property cards.
