Boeing India Defense Private Limited is looking for an international locally hired supply chain specialist to be part of its services support supply chain team.
The position will require 50% travel between
(Mohinbari for 24 months or more and then to Dinjan)
Activities that a successful candidate may be required to support are: platform warranty support, permanent site activation, asset management, warehousing, inventory control, stock management, packaging and transportation, etc. He/she will need to develop an understanding of customer's culture and business strategies as well as create, maintain and advance customer relationships. Perform analysis of information from multiple sources to determine accuracy relative to delivery schedules, inventories levels, requirements, etc. He/ She will require a high level of proficiency in computer-based supply chain system.
Enters material orders. Coordinates activities for economy of purchases. Analyzes supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities. Analyzes material location and takes proactive measures to perform redistribution.
Responds and administers requests for quotes. Enters, tracks and monitors customer/replenishment orders. Determines case-by-case make or buy decisions to establish, implement and sustain capabilities and sources of supply. Identifies and responds to customer issues by troubleshooting and problem solving and resolves discrepancies.
Enters, tracks, monitors and coordinates customer allocation and delivery requirements. Analyzes and processes material returned from customers. Responds to customer inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution. Performs order close out.
Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system. Coordinates and consults with engineering and/or customers to determine maintenance, repair/overhaul and/or corrective action to be performed. Coordinates the movement of assets and components through the repair cycle.
Processes documentation associated with repair items. Reviews applicability of warranties to allocate costs. Identifies and responds to customer issues. Monitors budgets.
Monitors performance metrics, performs trend analysis and takes mitigating action to meet performance objectives and identify opportunities for improvement.
Maintains internal/external supplier/customer interface with regular communication. Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies
Participates in the development of obsolescence management plan for parts, evaluates parts lists and associated databases to assess and mitigate impact. Identifies Supply Chain approaches for resolution.
Provides guidance to less experienced logistics representatives.
Solicits customer feedback and takes action to improve satisfaction with company services.
Develops and conducts adhoc training.
Manages field office resources and maintains company presence. Prepares required company reports.
Work may include flexible hours and may also require to respond during after-hours, weekends, and holidays. This requisition is for an international, locally hired position. Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in supply chain
- Logistics / supply chain experience is a must.
- Experience working with excel, experience with computer-based inventory management systems.
- Prior knowledge/ experience working with Indian armed forces customer will be an advantage.
