Required Accountant - Ahmedabad

We are looking for an Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks. Accountant responsibilities include managing Payables and reimbursements, entering financial transactions, creating invoices, and collection. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.& Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting Operations:
   • Record day-to-day financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
   • Maintain accurate records of cash, bank, and journal entries.
   • Prepare and update ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents.
2. Banking and Reconciliation:
   • Monitor and manage bank accounts including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
   • Prepare and verify monthly bank reconciliation statements .
   • Reconcile discrepancies and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
   • Process supplier bills, verify purchase orders, and arrange timely payments.
   • Generate invoices for clients/customers and follow up for payments.
   • Maintain aging reports and track outstanding receivables.
4. GST, TDS & Tax Compliance:
   • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) .
   • Deduct and file TDS returns (Form 26Q, 24Q, etc.) .
   • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, deadlines, and government regulations.
   • Coordinate with tax consultants or auditors during assessment or audit processes.
5. Payroll and Salary Processing:
   • Assist in processing monthly salaries, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
   • Maintain employee records for salary components, PF, ESI, and other deductions.
   • Generate salary slips and respond to payroll-related queries.
6. Inventory and Asset Accounting:
   • Maintain records of purchases, stock, and inventory movements (if applicable).
   • Keep a record of fixed assets and calculate depreciation as per accounting norms.
   • Conduct stock audits in coordination with the store or warehouse team.
7. Reporting and Analysis:
   • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements.
   • Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
   • Provide support in financial forecasting and internal audits.
8. Software and Documentation:
   • Work on accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Busy, SAP , or Excel.
