Required Tally Accountant - Madurai

A Tally Accountant is a finance professional responsible for maintaining and managing financial records using Tally , a popular accounting software widely used in India and other countries. This role involves handling bookkeeping, data entry, tax calculations, payroll processing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and government regulations. A Tally Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial health of an organization by ensuring that all monetary transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting and Bookkeeping

• Day-to-Day Entries: Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime.
• Ledger Maintenance: Create and manage ledgers for customers, suppliers, and various expense and income heads.
• Journal Entries: Pass journal entries for adjustments, depreciation, accruals, and provisions.
• Petty Cash Management: Track and reconcile petty cash expenses and ensure proper entry into the system.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Invoices and Bills: Process vendor invoices and generate customer invoices with accurate tax calculations.
• Payment Tracking: Track accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments. Manage timely payments to vendors and service providers.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with bank statements and ledger balances regularly.

3. Taxation and Compliance

• GST Management:
  • Calculate and record GST for sales and purchases.
  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B.
  • Reconcile GSTR-2A/2B and address discrepancies.
• TDS Deduction and Filing:
  • Deduct TDS as per applicable rules and maintain records.
  • File TDS returns quarterly and generate Form 16/16A as needed.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with other statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and Income Tax as applicable.

4. Payroll Processing

• Salary Computation: Assist in preparing monthly payroll using attendance records and statutory deductions.
• Employee Records: Maintain employee payment details, deductions, advances, and reimbursements.
• Payslip Generation: Generate and distribute salary slips through Tally or manual formats.

5. Financial Reporting

• Trial Balance & Final Accounts:
  • Generate Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet reports from Tally.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements for audits or internal review.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor inflow and outflow of cash and prepare cash flow reports.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
