Required Pediatrician - Coimbatore

Key Responsibilities

1. Health Assessments & Checkups

• Perform regular physical examinations to monitor the child s growth and development.
• Track milestones in areas like height, weight, cognitive development, and motor skills.
• Identify early signs of developmental delays or abnormalities.

2. Diagnosis and Treatment

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood illnesses such as colds, infections, allergies, asthma, and gastrointestinal issues.
• Handle chronic conditions in children like diabetes, epilepsy, congenital heart disease, etc.
• Provide appropriate prescriptions and follow-up care instructions.

3. Vaccinations & Immunization

• Administer and monitor scheduled vaccinations as per national immunization programs.
• Keep accurate immunization records and educate parents about vaccine benefits and schedules.
• Monitor for any adverse reactions post-vaccination and provide necessary interventions.

4. Parental Guidance and Education

• Counsel parents and caregivers about child nutrition, hygiene, sleep patterns, physical activity, and mental health.
• Offer advice on breastfeeding, weaning, toilet training, and screen-time management.
• Address behavioral issues and emotional problems such as anxiety, tantrums, or attention-deficit disorders.

5. Emergency Care

• Provide first-line treatment for minor injuries, allergic reactions, and emergency health situations.
• Refer patients to pediatric specialists or hospitals when advanced care is needed.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers for critical cases.

6. Medical Records and Documentation

• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of medical history, treatments, and immunizations.
• Document diagnosis, prescriptions, test results, and treatment plans accurately.
• Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, where applicable.

7. Collaboration and Referrals

• Collaborate with pediatric specialists (e.g., pediatric cardiologists, neurologists, or surgeons) when specialized treatment is required.
• Refer children to speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, or occupational therapists when needed.
• Work with schools or educational institutions in cases of learning or developmental concerns.
