Site Engineer Civil

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision and Execution

• Oversee daily construction activities at the site, ensuring work is being executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site labor to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Ensure all construction work is carried out with adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Monitor site operations and coordinate between structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines when required.
• Verify that all materials and equipment delivered to the site are per project specifications and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).

Project Planning and Coordination

• Coordinate with the Project Manager and consultants for project-related decisions and technical guidance.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks to the site team and contractors.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on site activities, progress, and challenges.
• Liaise with surveyors, engineers, architects, and other project team members to resolve technical issues on-site.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure that work performed meets the quality requirements and technical standards set forth in the design and contract.
• Conduct inspections of formwork, steelwork, concreting, finishing, and other civil work components.
• Identify and correct any non-conformities in construction and ensure prompt corrective actions.
• Maintain records of site inspections, quality control tests, and approvals.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team and external agencies for inspections and audits.

Safety and Documentation

• Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
• Conduct daily safety toolbox talks and ensure the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all personnel.
• Document and report any incidents or near misses to the safety officer or project management.
• Maintain proper records of site instructions, work permits, and construction logs.

Material and Resource Management

• Track the usage of construction materials and ensure minimal wastage.
• Coordinate timely procurement and delivery of materials to prevent delays.
• Assist in managing site inventory and ensure proper storage of tools and materials.
• Ensure efficient use of manpower and machinery on the construction site.
