Job Description
An Area Medical Representative Manager 's responsibilities encompass both sales leadership and team management within a defined geographic area.& They are responsible for& driving sales, building relationships, and ensuring their team achieves targets, while also providing support and guidance to medical representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new Medical Representatives in the assigned area.
  • Conduct regular field visits to coach and support MRs in real-time interactions with doctors and chemists.
  • Set performance targets and provide periodic performance reviews and feedback.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate with training departments for continuous development.
  • Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and maintain high levels of engagement and morale.

2. Sales Strategy Execution:

  • Develop and implement area-wise sales strategies aligned with national and regional goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the territory.
  • Ensure that all promotional and educational materials are used effectively by the field team.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities and expand customer coverage accordingly.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, pharmacists, and hospital administrators.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high standard of service and professionalism.
  • Organize CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs, doctor meets, product presentations, and awareness campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.

4. Territory and Operational Management:

  • Ensure optimal coverage of all areas, proper MR routing, and effective call planning.
  • Monitor and approve daily call reports (DCRs), tour programs, and other operational records of the field team.
  • Ensure timely reporting and data accuracy in CRM tools and sales reporting platforms.
  • Coordinate with logistics/supply chain to ensure product availability and timely delivery in the area.

5. Compliance and Ethical Standards:

  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and industry regulations.
  • Promote ethical marketing practices and ensure that all promotional activities comply with pharma regulatory standards.
  • Safeguard proprietary information and maintain confidentiality in all professional dealings.
