Job Description
Building and leading a team of salespeople to help drive revenue. Sales managers must motivate their teams to generate leads, build client relationships, set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Supervision:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives or representatives.
    • Set sales targets and monitor individual and team performance.
    • Motivate and coach the team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback for improvement.
  2. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies based on market research and company goals.
    • Forecast sales, prepare budgets, and plan sales activities accordingly.
    • Identify new markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities.
  3. Client Acquisition and Retention:
    • Meet with potential clients, understand their needs, and offer appropriate solutions.
    • Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
    • Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  4. Target Achievement:
    • Take responsibility for achieving sales targets and business objectives for the assigned region or category.
    • Monitor daily sales operations and take corrective actions where necessary.
    • Report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  5. Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings.
    • Analyze customer feedback, buying trends, and price sensitivity to adjust sales tactics.
    • Use insights to improve product positioning and promotional strategies.
  6. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Coordinate with marketing, product, and operations teams to support sales campaigns.
    • Provide input into pricing, new product launches, and promotional materials.
    • Work closely with upper management to align sales goals with company strategy.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and business outcomes.
    • Prepare sales reports, pipelines, and forecasts for internal review.
    • Ensure CRM tools are updated with accurate client and sales data.
  8. Compliance and Ethics:
    • Adhere to all legal, ethical, and company policies related to sales and customer interactions.
    • Ensure the team complies with documentation, invoicing, and reporting standards.
