A Power BI Developer designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, a data visualization and reporting tool. They translate business requirements into technical specifications, create data models, and develop interactive dashboards and reports to help organizations make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities:
Data Modelling:
Create data models from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services, to facilitate analysis and reporting.
Data Transformation:
Transform and clean data using Power Query to ensure data quality and consistency.
Dashboard and Report Development:
Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop and other tools to communicate insights effectively.
Security Implementation:
Implement row-level security and access control measures to protect sensitive data.
