Propylene Glycol Monomethyl Ether (PGME) prices have registered a significant increase in the chemical market of Delhi. PGME rates have increased by Rs.4/kg in the last week. PGME, which was selling at Rs.122/kg on 28 April 2025, has now reached Rs.126/kg by 5 May 2025. PGME is a major industrial solvent, which is used extensively in paints, coatings, electronics cleaning, and chemical formulations. The global demand for PGME is increasing rapidly. Its market value is estimated to be around USD 980.6 million in the year 2024, and it is expected to grow at a rate of 7.8% CAGR till 2034. Rising demand from the paints, coatings and electronic manufacturing sectors has fueled this price rise.
