Required Machine Maintenance - Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery and equipment as per established schedules and maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems of production equipment, such as CNC machines, conveyor systems, pumps, and motors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine causes of breakdowns to restore machinery to optimal operation.
• Replace or repair defective parts, including motors, gears, bearings, belts, and electrical components.

2. Equipment Inspections and Testing:

• Conduct periodic inspections of equipment to identify wear and tear or potential problems before they cause breakdowns.
• Calibrate machines and test equipment to ensure precise operations and conformity with safety standards.
• Inspect and test equipment after repairs to verify performance and compliance with operational requirements.

3. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during maintenance work, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols when handling hazardous materials or working with heavy machinery.
• Maintain safe working conditions and report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues to supervisors immediately.

4. Spare Parts and Inventory Management:

• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
• Order and maintain stock levels for essential machine components, ensuring that parts are available to minimize machine downtime.
• Keep accurate records of spare parts used and ensure that replacement parts are ordered in a timely manner.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Record maintenance work performed, including details of issues, repairs, and parts used, in the company s maintenance management system or logs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records for each machine, including maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs, for compliance and reference purposes.
• Provide regular reports to the Maintenance Manager or Engineering Supervisor on machine status, performance, and any potential issues.

6. Continuous Improvement and Efficiency:

• Suggest and implement improvements to machine design or maintenance processes to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
• Work closely with production teams to address any machine-related issues affecting production timelines or quality.
• Participate in training programs to improve knowledge of new machinery and maintenance techniques.
