Typist - Kalwa

Key Responsibilities:

• Typing Medical Documents:
  Accurately type medical reports, discharge summaries, admission notes, clinical correspondence, test results, prescriptions, surgical notes, and other documents dictated or written by medical professionals.
• Transcription Support:
  Transcribe dictations and voice notes from doctors and specialists into clear, readable medical documents using hospital-approved formatting and terminology.
• Patient Record Management:
  Maintain digital and physical records of patients, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and retrieval of files as per hospital protocols and privacy regulations.
• Data Entry:
  Enter patient details, diagnoses, treatment information, and other critical data into hospital management systems or electronic health records (EHR) platforms with accuracy.
• Report Formatting:
  Ensure consistency in document formatting, grammar, punctuation, and alignment with medical and institutional standards.
• Administrative Assistance:
  Assist doctors and department heads with preparing letters, medical certificates, referral notes, and internal memos as needed.
• Confidentiality Compliance:
  Handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality and in compliance with data protection policies such as HIPAA or other local regulations.
• Coordination with Departments:
  Collaborate with various hospital departments, including outpatient clinics, wards, labs, and billing offices, to ensure timely flow of documentation.
• Record Retrieval & Filing:
  Retrieve previous records or reports upon request by medical personnel. Ensure systematic filing of completed documentation for easy access during audits or future care.
• Support During Rounds or Clinics:
  Accompany doctors during rounds or outpatient consultations to type notes directly or organize handwritten notes into digital documents afterward.
