Required Sales Agent - Kolkata

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service and Sales:

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, and usage to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and ensure satisfaction before they leave the store.
• Resolve customer complaints or escalate to the store supervisor when necessary.

2. Daily Store Operations:

• Support the store in opening and closing procedures, including checking displays, lighting, and cleanliness.
• Help maintain overall store tidiness, including organizing shelves, dusting products, and arranging displays.
• Ensure all displayed items are accurately tagged with prices and promotional information.
• Replenish stock on shelves and inform the inventory team about low stock levels.

3. Billing and Transactions:

• Operate the billing system and POS (Point of Sale) terminal for processing cash, card, or digital payments.
• Issue correct invoices and receipts to customers.
• Maintain daily sales records and submit summaries to the manager.
• Assist with cash counting, balancing, and end-of-day financial reconciliation.

4. Product Knowledge:

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products available in the store.
• Stay informed about product specifications, promotions, pricing, and new arrivals.
• Share product insights and promotional information with customers to increase conversions.
• Attend product training sessions and refreshers when organized by the store or company.

5. Inventory and Stock Handling:

• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and labeling new inventory.
• Support physical stock counting and update stock records in the system.
• Report damaged, expired, or slow-moving items to the supervisor.
• Ensure that all products are securely stored to prevent theft or damage.

6. System Operations and Documentation:

• Use computer systems to check product availability, input sales data, and generate reports.
• Update customer details and purchase history as required in the system.
• Assist in maintaining digital and physical records of store transactions and customer information.
• Report any system issues or malfunctions to the technical support team promptly.

7. Teamwork and Communication:

• Work closely with colleagues across different departments such as inventory, accounts, and customer support.
