Required Housekeeping Supervisor - Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Supervision:

• Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff (cleaners, room attendants, janitors, etc.).
• Assign duties and inspect work to ensure compliance with prescribed standards.
• Schedule shifts and allocate tasks based on operational needs and staff availability.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct daily inspections of rooms, public areas, restrooms, lobbies, and other spaces.
• Ensure all areas meet the required cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Monitor use of cleaning materials and ensure efficient usage.

3. Inventory & Supplies Management:

• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, linens, and housekeeping tools.
• Raise requests for procurement or replenishment as required.
• Prevent misuse or wastage of materials.

4. Training & Development:

• Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning methods, use of equipment, and safety practices.
• Demonstrate use of industrial cleaning products and tools as per guidelines.
• Promote a culture of cleanliness, responsibility, and teamwork.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or damages immediately to maintenance or management.
• Implement and monitor sanitation protocols, especially in healthcare or food-handling environments.

6. Communication & Coordination:

• Liaise with front office, maintenance, or facility managers to coordinate room readiness or service schedules.
• Respond to guest or client complaints regarding housekeeping and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain housekeeping logs, duty rosters, and cleaning checklists accurately.
