About BIS Scientist-B Recruitment 2025

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India, is recruiting Engineers as Scientist-B for its organisations for the 2025 batch entry. The shortlisting of suitable candidates for Personal Interviews will be based on the valid score of GATE-2023, GATE-2024, and GATE-2025.

BIS Scientist-B Recruitment 2025 Vacancies

• Scientist-B: 20 vacancies (UR-14, EWS-1, OBC-1, SC-3, ST-1) (PWD-2) in various disciplines,& Pay Scale: Pay level-10 in 7th CPC 56100-177500, Qualification: Bachelor s Degree in relevant& Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor s Degree in Technology (B. Tech.) or Equivalent Degree/ Qualification to B.E or B.Tech. (as notified by Government from time to time) Or, a Master s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent (for Chemistry discipline only) in relevant disciplines with 60% marks. (50% marks for SC/ ST).& Having a valid GATE score of 2023/2024/2025, Age: 21-30 years as of 23/05/2025.




1. Chemistry: 02 vacancies (UR-1, OBC-1)
2. Civil Engineering: 08 vacancies (UR-5, EWS-1, SC-1, ST-1) (PWD-1)
3. Computer Engineering: 04 vacancies (UR-3, SC-1) (PWD-1)
4. Electrical Engineering: 02 vacancies (UR-1, SC-1)&
5. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: 02 vacancies (UR-2)
