Required Mechanical Engineer - Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

• Design mechanical systems and components using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or other 3D modeling tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes or test models for new products or machinery.
• Prepare technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications based on project requirements.

2. Engineering Analysis:

• Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and motion studies to ensure that mechanical components can withstand various operational conditions.
• Use engineering principles to evaluate design effectiveness, safety, and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments for mechanical systems.

3. Production and Manufacturing Support:

• Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturing processes are aligned with mechanical designs.
• Assist in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of machines and mechanical equipment.
• Recommend process improvements and enhancements to boost productivity and reduce waste.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Oversee the maintenance of mechanical systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace faulty mechanical components.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance and safety.

5. Project Management:

• Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare project timelines, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with management.
• Ensure that project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.

6. Quality Control and Compliance:

• Ensure that all mechanical designs and systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality norms (e.g., ISO, ASME).
• Work with the quality assurance team to inspect materials, components, and final outputs for conformity.
• Maintain proper documentation and reports for audits and certifications.

7. Vendor and Client Interaction:

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors for the procurement of mechanical parts and services.
• Provide technical support to clients or customers as required.
• Review and approve mechanical specifications from third-party vendors.
