Required Operations Supervisor - Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and support daily activities of the operations team or production/workfloor staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed on time and according to quality standards.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve individual and team performance.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.

2. Workflow Monitoring and Process Oversight

• Monitor day-to-day operations including production schedules, order fulfillment, delivery timelines, or service execution.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with other departments like procurement, inventory, customer service, or sales to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Report progress, setbacks, and any issues to senior management regularly.

3. Quality and Compliance Management

• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, industry regulations, and safety procedures.
• Conduct routine quality checks and maintain required documentation.
• Take corrective action to fix non-compliance issues or deviations in the process.
• Conduct safety briefings and maintain records related to incident reporting or hazard identification.

4. Inventory and Resource Coordination

• Monitor availability of tools, raw materials, stock, or supplies necessary for day-to-day work.
• Work with the inventory or supply chain team to manage stock levels, replenishment, and wastage control.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of goods or equipment in the work area.

5. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain accurate reports related to output, downtime, staff performance, shift activities, and productivity.
• Submit regular operational updates and performance metrics to the Operations Manager.
• Handle shift handovers, incident reports, maintenance requests, and attendance records.

6. Customer and Stakeholder Coordination

• Interact with customers, clients, or external stakeholders when required to resolve service issues or provide updates.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order processing or service delivery.
• Coordinate with vendors or service providers for equipment maintenance or third-party services.

7. Problem Solving and Process Improvement

• Identify recurring problems or areas of inefficiency and recommend improvements.
• Participate in audits, evaluations, and improvement initiatives such as lean management or 5S practices.
