Required Dhabha Cook - Delhi

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Dhabha Cook who can prepare authentic North Indian food items and manage daily kitchen operations. The candidate should be experienced in preparing sabjis, curries, parathas, dal, rice, and other staple dhaba-style dishes. The cook will be responsible for preparing all food items in the morning and frying or serving them fresh upon customer orders throughout the day. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and be friendly with both customers and team members. Strong experience in preparing sabjis (vegetables), gravies, and tandoori or tawa items is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation

• Prepare all required food items like sabji, dal, rice, parathas, puri, chapati, chole, rajma, etc. during the morning hours.
• Chop vegetables, grind masalas, and keep all ingredients ready for the day.
• Cook in bulk as per estimated customer demand and ensure taste consistency.
• Fry or heat food items as per orders when the customer arrives.
• Ensure freshness and quality in every dish served.

2. Cooking Expertise

• Must know how to cook a variety of North Indian sabjis such as aloo gobhi, baingan bharta, bhindi masala, paneer butter masala, matar paneer, chana masala, etc.
• Should be skilled in preparing dal tadka, dal fry, rajma, kadhi , and other daily staples.
• Ability to make fresh rotis, parathas, and pooris quickly.
• Should have experience with tawa, kadhai, handi, and gas cooking techniques .

3. Customer Service

• Serve food with a smile and maintain a polite attitude towards customers.
• Respond to customer feedback and make minor adjustments when needed.
• Build a positive rapport with regular customers and offer personalized service when possible.
• Ensure that food is served hot and fresh, with correct portion sizes.

4. Hygiene and Kitchen Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, cooking utensils, and stove.
• Wash vegetables and raw materials thoroughly before use.
• Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly and follow hygienic practices.
• Store raw and cooked items properly to avoid spoilage.
• Follow proper food storage and labeling for safety.

5. Team Coordination

• Cooperate with other kitchen and service staff.
• Help in guiding junior kitchen helpers or new staff if required.
• Inform the owner or manager about low-stock ingredients or kitchen needs.
• Attend team meetings and assist with menu updates.
