Required Design Engineer - Thane

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing new products, components, or systems, improving existing ones, and ensuring designs meet required specifications, performance standards, and industry regulations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, proficiency in CAD and engineering software, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments such as production, quality, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product/Component Design:

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of components, parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
• Convert concepts and ideas into functional designs considering performance, material, safety, and cost constraints.
• Ensure that all designs comply with engineering principles, industry standards, and customer requirements.

2. Engineering Calculations & Analysis:

• Perform basic calculations for structural strength, tolerances, load distribution, heat dissipation, stress/strain, etc.
• Assist in simulations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using tools like ANSYS or similar platforms.
• Analyze and interpret test data and feedback to make design improvements.

3. Design Review & Documentation:

• Participate in design review meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation including drawings, bill of materials (BOM), part lists, design reports, revision logs, and change requests.
• Provide support in the creation of user manuals, technical datasheets, and assembly guides.

4. Collaboration with Teams:

• Work closely with R&D, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Incorporate feedback from vendors, suppliers, and clients to optimize designs.
• Support prototyping and testing teams during the development and trial stages.

5. Project & Time Management:

• Contribute to the timely delivery of project milestones in design development and modifications.
• Track progress using project management tools or reports as per company standards.
• Handle multiple design projects simultaneously under guidance from the lead engineer or design manager.
