Required Accounting Executive - Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record Keeping and Transactions:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records including ledgers, journals, and vouchers.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all financial entries.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable balances regularly.
• Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments accurately and timely.

2. Preparation of Financial Statements and Reports:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare reports on financial performance and highlight discrepancies or anomalies.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting by providing historical financial data and variance analysis.
• Generate internal management reports for decision-making and audit purposes.

3. Compliance and Audit Support:

• Ensure compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Prepare and submit statutory returns such as GST, VAT, TDS, or other tax filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits by providing requested documents and explanations.
• Maintain records for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting.

4. Cost Control and Expense Management:

• Monitor and track expenses against budgets.
• Review and verify expense claims and vendor invoices.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and financial institutions regarding billing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Assist in training and guiding junior accounting staff or interns as required.
