Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash, processing transactions accurately, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist them with purchases.
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
Issue receipts, refunds, and change.
Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate amounts.
Reconcile cash drawers and report any discrepancies.
Assist with bagging items and answering customer questions.
Follow all store/company policies and procedures.
Ensure pricing is correct and resolve pricing issues quickly.
Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role is a plus.
Basic math and computer skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to handle transactions responsibly and ethically.
Customer service-oriented with a friendly attitude.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Previous retail or customer service experience.
