Required ENT Surgeon - Hoshangabad

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnosis and Consultation

• Evaluate patients with ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations and review patient histories.
• Use diagnostic tools like audiometry, endoscopy, CT/MRI scans, and allergy testing to assess conditions.
• Develop accurate diagnoses and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

2. Medical Management

• Treat common ENT problems such as sinusitis, tonsillitis, hearing loss, vertigo, nasal polyps, sleep apnea, and voice disorders.
• Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with general physicians, audiologists, allergists, and other specialists as required.

3. Surgical Procedures

• Perform surgeries including but not limited to:
  • Septoplasty and rhinoplasty
  • Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy
  • Endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)
  • Myringotomy and grommet insertion
  • Tympanoplasty and mastoidectomy
  • Microlaryngeal surgery
  • Tracheostomy
  • Head and neck tumor resection
• Ensure adherence to surgical protocols and patient safety procedures.
• Provide post-operative care and follow-ups to monitor recovery and complications.

4. Emergency Response

• Attend ENT-related emergencies including nasal bleeding, airway obstruction, and acute ear infections.
• Be available for on-call duties as per hospital rota (if applicable).

5. Patient Education and Counseling

• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Counsel patients regarding pre-operative preparations and post-operative recovery plans.
• Discuss lifestyle modifications for managing chronic ENT conditions (e.g., allergies, sleep apnea).

6. Record-Keeping and Documentation

• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, reports, and clinical notes.
• Update electronic medical records (EMRs) in line with hospital protocols.
• Document all surgical procedures and post-operative outcomes meticulously.

7. Teaching & Mentorship (if applicable)

• Mentor junior doctors, medical students, and nursing staff.
• Conduct clinical teaching sessions, CMEs (Continuing Medical Education), and departmental workshops.

8. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Adhere to medical ethics, clinical guidelines, and hospital protocols.
• Follow infection control practices and surgical safety standards.
