Key Responsibilities

1. Order Picking
   • Read and understand order slips, packing lists, or digital picking systems.
   • Locate items in the warehouse based on SKU codes, bin locations, or inventory management software.
   • Retrieve the correct quantity of each item for packing and shipment.
   • Ensure products picked match the order sheet exactly, without errors or substitutions unless authorized.
2. Packing Orders
   • Inspect items for damage, quality, or expiration dates before packing.
   • Carefully pack items in appropriate boxes, cartons, or envelopes using protective materials (bubble wrap, foam, packing paper).
   • Label packages correctly with shipping labels, barcodes, and customer details.
   • Ensure packages are neat, secure, and sealed properly to avoid damage during transit.
3. Inventory Management Support
   • Assist with stock counts, inventory audits, and replenishment activities.
   • Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods to supervisors immediately.
   • Help maintain stockroom organization by returning unused or misplaced items to their designated areas.
4. Equipment Handling and Maintenance
   • Operate warehouse tools such as barcode scanners, handheld devices, or mobile carts.
   • Use manual equipment like pallet jacks, trolleys, or ladders safely and responsibly.
   • Report malfunctioning equipment or hazards to the supervisor.
5. Workplace Organization
   • Keep the picking and packing areas clean, organized, and free of clutter or safety hazards.
   • Dispose of packaging waste and recyclables properly according to warehouse procedures.
   • Adhere to 5S practices (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) if applicable.
6. Health, Safety, and Compliance
   • Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE (gloves, shoes, vests).
   • Maintain awareness of surroundings to avoid accidents or injuries.
   • Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.
7. Team Collaboration
   • Coordinate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and shipping staff to ensure smooth operations.
   • Communicate issues such as stock shortages, errors, or urgent orders in a timely manner.
   • Contribute to a positive work environment and team spirit.
