Key Responsibilities:

Code Promotion & Deployment:

• Promote code from development to QA, staging, and production environments using automated or manual processes.
• Validate the integrity of builds and ensure successful integration before promotion.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and resolve merge conflicts or build failures.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

• Manage and monitor CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
• Create scripts or automation tools to streamline build and release processes.
• Maintain version control branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based).

Build Validation & Release:

• Collaborate with QA teams to verify successful deployments in test environments.
• Perform sanity or smoke tests post-deployment to ensure stability.
• Prepare release notes and coordinate release timelines.

Access & Configuration Management:

• Manage access to deployment tools and environments securely.
• Maintain environment-specific configuration files and secrets.
• Follow IT compliance and audit guidelines during code changes and promotions.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain detailed logs of deployment activities, promotion history, and rollback plans.
• Document processes for onboarding, training, and standard operating procedures.
• Report deployment metrics, errors, and improvements to stakeholders.
