Server - Waiter / Waitress

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about the menu, ingredients, or dietary restrictions.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Suggest menu items or upsell beverages, appetizers, or desserts when appropriate.

2. Order Delivery and Table Management:

• Serve food and beverages promptly and in a professional manner.
• Check with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Clear dishes and glasses from tables after each course and at the end of the meal.
• Refill water, beverages, and attend to additional requests without delay.

3. Cleanliness and Setup:

• Prepare dining area before service, including setting tables, folding napkins, polishing cutlery, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
• Maintain a neat and organized dining area during and after service hours.
• Sanitize tables and chairs after each guest leaves and reset tables for the next guests.

4. Coordination and Communication:

• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate food and drink delivery.
• Relay any special dietary needs or allergies to the kitchen team clearly.
• Inform guests of delays, substitutions, or unavailable items professionally.
• Work closely with other servers, bussers, and hosts to ensure smooth service flow.

5. Payment Handling:

• Present checks to guests and collect payments using cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payments.
• Process transactions accurately through the POS system and return correct change or receipts.
• Handle billing disputes or clarifications with courtesy and professionalism.

6. Guest Experience and Problem Solving:

• Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance.
• Address any complaints or concerns calmly and inform the supervisor if escalation is needed.
• Provide information about restaurant services, special events, or local area if asked.
