Junior Travel Consultant

Location: T. Nagar, ChennaI

Salary: 15,000/month during a 3-month probation period 20,000/month post-confirmation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Travel Planning and Customer Support:

• Assist clients in planning travel itineraries based on their needs, preferences, and budgets.
• Recommend destinations, travel routes, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, and travel insurance options.
• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or walk-ins in a timely and professional manner.
• Offer suitable alternatives in case of unavailable options or changes in travel plans.

2. Booking and Reservations:

• Help process bookings for flights, hotels, tours, car rentals, and other travel services using GDS systems or online platforms.
• Confirm travel arrangements with vendors and ensure accurate documentation.
• Update clients with booking confirmations, e-tickets, vouchers, and travel itineraries.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other service providers to handle reservations, changes, or cancellations.

3. Documentation and Visa Support:

• Guide clients on visa requirements, travel regulations, passport validity, and documentation needed for their travel.
• Assist in the preparation and collection of visa application documents and forms.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure all necessary documents are properly filed.

4. Sales and Promotions:

• Promote current travel packages, deals, or special promotions available through the agency or its partners.
• Upsell additional services such as travel insurance, upgrades, and sightseeing packages.
• Encourage early bookings and help meet sales targets set by senior consultants or managers.

5. Customer Relationship Management:

• Maintain a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude toward clients.
• Follow up with customers post-travel to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with repeat clients and corporate accounts.
• Help resolve customer complaints or issues with bookings under the guidance of senior staff.

6. Office and Administrative Tasks:

• Assist in preparing invoices, receipts, and daily booking reports.
• Maintain travel brochures, catalogues, promotional materials, and display content in the office.
• Support in updating records, supplier databases, and travel information systems.
• Help organize travel fairs, exhibitions, or events when required.
