Job Title: Head - Global Rail (International Business Development)Location: Goa, IndiaIndustry: Railway Composite ManufacturingExperience: 15 years in Global B2B Sales & Strategic Alliances (Railway Sector)About the Company:We are a leading railway composite manufacturer in India, specializing in advanced materials and solutions for the global rail industry. Our products are used in metro, high-speed rail, and freight systems worldwide. As we expand our international footprint, we seek a dynamic Head - Global Rail to drive sales, forge strategic partnerships, and enhance our global market presence.Job Purpose:To lead global business development, drive B2B sales, and establish strategic alliances in the railway sector, targeting key markets in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and North America. The role will focus on expanding the company s presence in rail composites, interiors, and structural solutions.Key Responsibilities:1. Global Business Development & Sales- Develop and execute international sales strategies for railway composites.- Identify and target new markets, clients, and projects (metros, high-speed rail, freight).- Manage key accounts, RFQs, and tender processes for global rail OEMs and operators.- Achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.2. Strategic Partnerships & Alliances- Build long-term joint ventures, technology transfers, and distribution partnerships.- Collaborate with global rail manufacturers, integrators, and government bodies.- Represent the company at international rail expos (InnoTrans, Middle East Rail, etc.).3. Market Intelligence & Growth- Analyze global rail trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.- Drive product positioning and differentiation in composites for rail.- Lead pricing strategies and contract negotiations.4. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration- Lead a global sales & BD team, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and R&D.- Work with technical teams to customize solutions for international clients.- Report directly to the CEO/Board on global business performance.Desired Candidate Profile:Education: MBA/Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Composites preferred).Experience:- 15 years in B2B international sales & business development in the railway sector.- Proven track record of deals with global rail OEMs- Strong network in Middle East/Europe/Southeast Asia/North America.Skills:- Expertise in composites, rail interiors, or structural solutions.- Strong contract negotiation, tender management, and stakeholder engagement.- Willingness to travel internationally (30-50%).Ideal Background:- Candidates from global rail manufacturing, composites, or rolling stock companies (ref:updazz.com)
