Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Accountant Executive to manage daily accounting operations and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and preparing reports that contribute to the smooth and compliant functioning of the organization s finance department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting Operations
  • Record and classify all financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Ensure that transactions are accurately entered into the accounting software in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage vendor payments and employee reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
2. Bank and Account Reconciliation
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure that transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Monitor cash flows and maintain proper records of cash and bank balances.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in a timely manner.
3. Invoice Management
  • Prepare and issue sales invoices to customers and clients based on sales orders and agreements.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on pending payments to ensure timely collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing and payment activity.
4. Financial Reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Generate reports on financial status including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and expense reports.
  • Support financial analysis and forecasting by providing accurate and timely financial data to management.
5. Taxation & Compliance
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns as per applicable laws.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national financial regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
6. Budgeting and Cost Tracking
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans in collaboration with other departments.
  • Track expenditures against budgets and report variances.
  • Help implement cost control measures and monitor operational spending.
7. Documentation & Record Maintenance
  • Maintain proper documentation of all accounting transactions, including bills, vouchers, receipts, and correspondence.
  • Organize and file accounting records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
  • Ensure that all records are maintained in compliance with the organization s document retention policy.
