Job Summary:

HDFC Bank is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to join our operations team. The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining a wide range of data related to customer accounts, transactions, loan processing, and other banking operations. This role is critical in supporting the bank s day-to-day operations by ensuring data integrity and timely processing of information. The ideal candidate should have excellent typing skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with banking processes or financial data management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Entry and Maintenance:

• Accurately input data related to customer accounts, transactions, loan applications, KYC details, and other banking documents into the bank s systems.
• Verify data for completeness and correctness before entry.
• Update and maintain records to ensure information is current and accurate.
• Cross-check documents and data entries to avoid errors or discrepancies.

2. Document Handling:

• Organize and manage physical and electronic documents related to banking operations.
• Scan, upload, and archive documents as per the bank s standard operating procedures.
• Assist in digitizing records and maintaining electronic filing systems.

3. Coordination and Support:

• Work closely with branch staff, loan officers, and other teams to gather required data.
• Respond to data-related queries and provide timely information support.
• Assist in preparing reports and summaries based on data entered.
• Support audits by providing necessary data and documentation.

4. Compliance and Confidentiality:

• Ensure compliance with the bank s data security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive customer information.
• Follow guidelines related to anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other regulatory standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Minimum 12th pass (Intermediate) or equivalent.
• Graduate degree preferred but not mandatory.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient typing skills with accuracy (minimum 30-40 WPM).
• Familiarity with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with data entry software and banking software (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of banking products and processes is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
