Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer Machine Assembly to join our manufacturing and production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical systems and machinery based on detailed drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures. This position requires a thorough understanding of mechanical components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fasteners, gearboxes, shafts, motors, and alignment principles. The candidate should be capable of reading engineering drawings and have hands-on experience in precision fitting, machine alignment, and on-site troubleshooting. This role is critical to the successful manufacturing and delivery of customized industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Assembly and Fitting:

• Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete machines according to engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Use tools such as torque wrenches, dial gauges, hydraulic presses, and alignment tools to perform high-precision assembly.
• Install mechanical parts like bearings, shafts, pulleys, gearboxes, couplings, motors, cylinders, and pneumatic actuators.
• Carry out fitting, drilling, tapping, reaming, and other minor machining as required during assembly.

2. Drawing Interpretation and Documentation:

• Read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, exploded views, part lists, and general arrangement diagrams.
• Cross-check assembly components with Bill of Materials (BOM) and assembly plans.
• Document any deviations, part issues, or engineering change requests and report to the design or quality team.
• Ensure proper marking, tagging, and documentation during subassembly and final assembly stages.

3. Mechanical Alignment and Calibration:

• Perform precise alignment of shafts, guideways, rollers, and rotating components using gauges, laser tools, or feeler gauges.
• Ensure leveling, run-out testing, and vibration checks of critical parts and assemblies.
• Conduct pre-commissioning mechanical checks for smooth operation of moving parts.

4. Coordination with Electrical and Controls Teams:

• Collaborate with electrical, automation, and PLC teams during electromechanical integration.
• Assist in cable routing, sensor mounting, and panel positioning where necessary.
• Provide mechanical support during machine testing, calibration, and commissioning.

5. Quality Control and Safety Compliance:

• Follow standard quality control procedures during and after assembly to ensure defect-free output.
• Perform visual and functional checks at each stage of the assembly process.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, proper tool usage, and handling of heavy components using cranes, hoists, or jigs.

6. Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Support in dry runs, functional testing, and trial runs of machines.
• Identify root causes of mechanical malfunctions, perform corrective actions, and escalate design issues if required.
• Modify or rework mechanical parts based on site or shop floor conditions.
