Care Taker For Children And Patients

Key Responsibilities:

1. Personal Care & Hygiene:

• Assist patients or children with daily hygiene routines such as bathing, brushing, toileting, and grooming .
• Change clothes, diapers (if required), and bed linens to maintain cleanliness and comfort.
• Support immobile or semi-mobile individuals in using the restroom or bedpan.

2. Feeding & Nutrition Support:

• Prepare and serve meals as per the individual 's dietary needs and doctor s instructions.
• Feed infants, children, or patients who are unable to feed themselves.
• Ensure proper hydration by monitoring fluid intake.
• Maintain feeding bottles, utensils, and food preparation areas in a hygienic condition.

3. Health Monitoring & Medication Support:

• Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and general condition (if trained).
• Remind or assist with timely medication intake.
• Report any changes in behavior, appetite, or health conditions to the nurse, doctor, or guardian.

4. Emotional Support & Engagement:

• Provide emotional companionship and build a caring relationship with children or patients.
• Engage children with games, stories, or educational activities suitable for their age.
• Talk gently with elderly or bedridden patients, offering comfort and moral support.
• Support mental wellness by creating a calm, respectful, and reassuring environment.

5. Mobility Assistance:

• Help patients or children move around safely whether walking, using a wheelchair, or being lifted.
• Assist in positioning and turning bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
• Accompany individuals to doctor visits, therapy sessions, or outdoor walks if needed.

6. Safety & Cleanliness:

• Maintain a clean and safe environment by disinfecting commonly touched surfaces, utensils, and bedding.
• Ensure that children or patients are always in a secure area and not at risk of injury or falling.
• Follow infection control measures, especially when caring for sick or elderly individuals.

7. Communication & Reporting:

• Keep records of daily routines, health changes, and any incidents for reporting to medical or family authorities.
• Maintain regular communication with nurses, family members, or facility supervisors.
