The primary role of the Senior Advisor (Investigator) is to lead investigations where potential violations of the Corporation 's Standards of Business Conduct policies and procedures may have occurred.

Scope
The Audit function has primary responsibility for investigating potential reportable irregularities with respect to violations of the Corporation 's Standards of Business Conduct. The key areas for which Audit have responsibility are violations relating to the following policies:

The Senior Advisor will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the investigation of potential irregularities in collaboration with both the iADM and AAM in whose portfolio the investigation resides. This will include:

Consulting with other staff groups such as HR, Security and Law to determine who will direct an investigation, who will lead it, resources required etc.

Recommending whether there has been a violation or the investigation should be treated as a "no:bill "

Reviewing comparable cases in order to recommend appropriate disciplinary action

Preparation of investigations summaries for review with Audit and business line management

Preparing materials for and coordinating monthly status update meetings with the Functional General Auditors on open investigations
On occasions, the Senior Advisor will assist other Audit regions on investigations requiring additional resources.
