Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday Payroll Integration Expert to lead and deliver complex payroll integration projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 full-cycle Workday Payroll implementations and deep expertise in designing and building scalable integrations specific to payroll processes. This role also involves active participation in presales solutioning and delivery of large-scale payroll-focused integration solutions.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong functional knowledge of Workday Payroll including Payroll Processing, Costing, Pay Components, and Payroll Results.
Expertise in Workday Integration tools such as EIB, Core Connector: Payroll, Workday Studio, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
Experience building at least 20 integrations related to payroll processing, tax reporting, third-party vendors (ADP, Equifax, etc.), benefits carriers, and financial downstream systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday Payroll integrations using tools like EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connector: Payroll, PICOF/PICOF-IN, Workday Web Services, and RaaS.
2. Collaborate closely with Payroll and HR teams, IT stakeholders, and third-party vendors to gather requirements and translate them into robust integration solutions.
3. Facilitate client design workshops to understand payroll-specific needs and propose scalable, compliant integration approaches.
4. Ensure seamless and secure data flow between Workday and external payroll systems/vendors, including support for inbound/outbound files, real-time APIs, and audit compliance.
5. Assist in data conversion and mapping for Payroll Go-Live readiness, including gross-to-net validation and parallel testing support.
6. Monitor and troubleshoot existing integrations, resolve production issues, and perform impact assessments for Workday releases.
7. Contribute to presales activities, including proposal writing, effort estimation, and architecture diagrams for payroll-related integration projects.
8. Lead end-to-end payroll integration delivery for large programs, ensuring on-time, compliant, and high-quality implementations.
9. Maintain Workday integration documentation and adhere to client-specific compliance and audit policies.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 5 years of Workday experience, with strong focus on Workday Payroll and Integration modules.
2. Hands-on experience with at least 2 full Workday Payroll implementations.
3. Comprehensive understanding of payroll processing lifecycles and compliance (e.g., tax, garnishments, payroll calendars).
4. Relevant Workday certifications such as Workday Payroll, Workday Integration, Workday Studio, Workday Reporting.
5. Strong analytical and communication skills to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.
6. Prior experience in global payroll (multi-country) integrations is a strong plus
