Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable ITI Fitter to join our mechanical or production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment according to technical drawings and standard procedures. This position is crucial in supporting daily plant operations, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks. The ITI Fitter should have a strong understanding of tools, mechanical components, and workshop practices, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assembly & Installation

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Fit and assemble machine parts, structural components, and systems using hand and power tools.
• Assist in the installation and setup of machinery and production equipment at site or workshop.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, tools, and mechanical systems.
• Identify mechanical faults and conduct timely repairs or part replacements.
• Lubricate and clean machinery parts as part of routine maintenance.

3. Fabrication & Machining

• Cut, drill, grind, and shape metal or non-metal parts using tools like grinders, lathes, and drills.
• Ensure all fabricated components are dimensionally accurate and meet quality standards.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow workplace safety rules and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Ensure tools and machinery are used properly and maintained in safe working condition.
• Comply with all company and legal safety standards and procedures.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Report to the supervisor regarding equipment status, material requirements, or safety concerns.
• Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:

• ITI certification in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute.
• Familiarity with hand tools, machine tools, and mechanical measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of welding, cutting, threading, and grinding operations.
