Required Accountant - Delhi

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Recordkeeping

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
• Record all financial transactions in the company s accounting system in accordance with standard accounting practices (GAAP or IFRS).
• Monitor and review financial documents for accuracy and compliance.

2. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and performance metrics for internal stakeholders.
• Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and issues.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Assist department heads in understanding financial reports and adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Identify areas of cost savings and revenue enhancement based on budget analysis.

4. Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and customer invoices.
• Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

5. Bank Reconciliation and Cash Management

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Monitor daily cash flow and assist in managing working capital.
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for daily transactions and fund transfers.

6. Compliance and Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities as needed.

7. Taxation

• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns including corporate income tax, sales tax, and other local taxes.
• Maintain appropriate records and documentation to support tax filings.
• Ensure timely payment of all tax obligations and advise on tax-saving strategies where applicable.

8. Process Improvement

• Review existing financial processes and identify opportunities for automation or increased efficiency.
• Participate in system upgrades and financial software implementations.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and financial data.
