Required Accountant - Ranchi

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to handle a variety of financial, administrative, and reporting functions for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for billing , attendance tracking , party/vendor reporting , GST compliance , salary processing , product-wise reporting , and general office accounting tasks . This role requires someone with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent command over MS Excel and Tally or similar accounting software, and the ability to manage day-to-day office work with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Billing and Invoicing

• Generate accurate sales invoices as per order and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase bills and maintain records of supplier/vendor transactions.
• Verify billing details such as taxes, discounts, rates, and totals before submission.
• Share invoices with clients and follow up on payments as required.

2. Attendance and Payroll Support

• Maintain daily attendance registers or software entries for all staff.
• Coordinate with the HR/admin team for leaves, holidays, and late marks.
• Assist in calculating monthly salary sheets based on attendance, overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
• Generate salary slips for all employees each month and handle queries related to salary components.

3. Party/Vendor Reporting

• Maintain up-to-date ledgers of all creditors and debtors.
• Track party outstanding balances, payment terms, and due dates.
• Reconcile accounts with vendors/clients and resolve mismatches or disputes.
• Prepare periodic reports for management showing party-wise dues and settlements.

4. GST Reporting and Compliance

• Ensure timely calculation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
• Maintain records of input tax credit (ITC) and GST liabilities.
• Reconcile GSTR data with books of accounts and ensure error-free filings.
• Coordinate with external consultants or CA firms for tax audits or compliance issues.

5. Product-Wise Reporting

• Maintain inventory and product-level sales records.
• Generate reports showing sales, returns, and profit margins by product.
• Assist management with analysis of fast-moving or slow-moving products.
• Track product costs, taxes, and profitability reports to aid business planning.

6. Salary and Staff Reporting

• Maintain individual staff records including attendance, advances, and expense claims.
• Track employee reimbursements and deductions.
• Prepare monthly reports for staff payroll, incentives, and other benefits.
• Handle statutory payments like PF/ESI/TDS (if applicable).

7. General Office Accounting

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally, Busy, or other ERP/accounting software.
• Record daily cash and bank transactions accurately.
• Perform bank reconciliations monthly or as required.
• File and organize vouchers, receipts, payment proofs, and related documentation.
