Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Prospecting and Lead Generation

  • Identify and contact potential clients through cold calls, referrals, networking, and follow-ups on leads provided by the company.
  • Build a pipeline of prospects interested in life insurance, health coverage, pension plans, and savings/investment-linked insurance products.
  • Organize and participate in financial awareness seminars, webinars, and community events to generate interest in insurance planning.

2. Financial Needs Assessment

  • Conduct in-depth discussions with prospective clients to understand their personal, family, and financial situation.
  • Evaluate client requirements in areas such as life coverage, child education planning, retirement planning, medical protection, and income replacement.
  • Use needs-analysis tools or calculators to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

3. Product Presentation and Consultation

  • Explain product features, benefits, premium structures, and policy terms in a simple and understandable manner.
  • Customize insurance plans to match the client s needs, goals, and risk appetite.
  • Offer suitable riders or investment-linked options, where applicable.
  • Assist clients in comparing different plans and making informed decisions.

4. Sales and Policy Issuance

  • Present and sell insurance policies, meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets and business development goals.
  • Complete proposal forms, collect required documentation, and assist clients through the policy issuance process.
  • Ensure compliance with all underwriting procedures and regulatory guidelines (e.g., KYC norms).

5. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with policyholders by providing excellent after-sales support.
  • Monitor policy renewals and ensure timely premium payments and policy servicing.
  • Stay in touch with existing clients to offer additional services such as policy upgrades, claims support, or new insurance options.
  • Address customer inquiries, handle objections, and resolve grievances with professionalism.

6. Market and Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on the latest insurance products, IRDAI guidelines, tax benefits, and financial trends.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor offerings to position your products effectively.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, certification courses, and sales strategy workshops.

7. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales reports, and policy submissions.
