System Engineer L4

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced System Engineer L4 & to take ownership of the integration, validation, and performance of complex multi-platform systems. This senior-level role involves overseeing the seamless integration of hardware and software subsystems, performing in-depth system-level testing and diagnostics, and ensuring technical compatibility and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background, extensive hands-on experience with enterprise IT infrastructure, and a strategic understanding of system architecture and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Systems Integration and Architecture

• Oversee the integration of various subsystems (hardware, software, networking, storage, cloud, security) into a unified, functional system.
• Analyze interface requirements and ensure compatibility between components sourced from multiple vendors.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to refine system-level designs and ensure scalability, maintainability, and interoperability.

2. System-Level Testing and Validation

• Design and execute detailed system validation plans, including stress, performance, and failover testing.
• Troubleshoot integration and system-wide issues across physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Validate system security configurations, data flows, and compliance with enterprise policies and industry regulations.

3. Compatibility and Configuration Management

• Ensure seamless interaction between different platforms, operating systems, middleware, databases, and third-party tools.
• Manage software version control, firmware updates, and configuration documentation across system components.
• Establish system baselines and maintain uniformity across environments (development, staging, production).

4. Documentation and Standards

• Create and maintain detailed system specifications, integration procedures, architectural diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all documentation is aligned with company standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, NIST, ITIL), and stakeholder needs.
• Provide input into change control, release management, and lifecycle documentation.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with software engineers, DevOps, security, QA, and network teams to coordinate system-level deployments.
• Act as a technical point of contact during project planning, rollout, and escalated issue resolution.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and mentorship of junior engineers (L1 L3).
