Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategy & Planning :- Develop and own the end-to-end marketing strategy aligned with business goals-across retail, B2B, government, and international verticals.- Design marketing roadmaps for key seasons, new product launches, partnerships, and regional campaigns.- Set measurable objectives, KPIs, and feedback loops to optimize campaigns and track ROI.Branding & Awareness :- Shape brand voice and messaging for farmers, governments, and global stakeholders.- Develop narratives that convey impact, innovation, and sustainability using creative and data-driven storytelling.- Lead brand consistency across product packaging, field collaterals, digital content, and presentations.Digital & Content Marketing :- Oversee all digital activities, including social media strategy, content planning, newsletters, and email campaigns.- Coordinate with the social media agency and internal/external content creators for post quality and cadence.- Monitor performance across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook) and course-correct as needed.Offline & On-Ground Marketing (ATL/BTL) :- Plan and manage ATL/BTL campaigns such as rural activations, distributor branding, exhibitions, and demo days.- Coordinate with internal sales teams and external vendors to ensure effective on-ground execution.- Standardize and continuously upgrade marketing collaterals (banners, posters, brochures, product displays).Media & PR :- Identify opportunities for company to be featured in media, podcasts, industry panels, and startup showcases.- Build relationships with relevant journalists and publications in agri-tech, climate, and sustainability.- Coordinate press releases, founder interviews, and recognition applications.Team & Agency Management- Collaborate with and manage external agencies (social media, website, PR) and freelancers.- Work with the internal graphic designer and support hiring/execution roles for content writing, social media management, and field activation. Create SOPs and playbooks for repeatable marketing operations QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :- Bachelor s/Master s degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related fields.- 5-8 years of experience in startup marketing or brand leadership, ideally in agri-tech, climate-tech, FMCG, or social impact sectors.- Proven track record in executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and building brands from scratch.- Proficiency in digital tools (Social Media, Mailchimp or Similar Email Marketing Tools, Canva/Adobe, Google Analytics, SEO basics).- Experience in managing agencies, freelancers, and cross-functional coordination.PREFERRED SKILLS & TRAITS :- Strong strategic thinking with an eye for detail and storytelling- Excellent communication (written verbal) in English and Hindi; regional language familiarity is a plus- Creative mindset paired with execution discipline- Data-informed, outcome-driven, and growth-oriented- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and building systems from ground zero (ref:updazz.com)
