Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and energetic Sales Executive - Field Sales - IT Sales to join our expanding sales team. This is a client-facing, field-based role focused on selling IT products, services, and solutions to businesses within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in B2B IT sales, a strong understanding of the technology landscape, and a passion for building long-lasting customer relationships. This position requires frequent travel to meet with clients, demonstrate product value, and close deals. If you 're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and enjoys working directly with clients, this role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through field visits, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Promote and sell IT products and services, which may include hardware (servers, laptops, networking equipment), software (ERP, CRM, cloud solutions), or managed IT services.
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the management.

2. Client Interaction & Relationship Building

  • Visit potential and existing clients regularly to present offerings, provide demos, and build rapport.
  • Conduct in-depth client meetings to understand their IT infrastructure, challenges, and growth plans.
  • Establish long-term professional relationships with key decision-makers, IT managers, and procurement heads.
  • Maintain excellent post-sales engagement to ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.

3. Proposal & Quotation Management

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender documents in line with company standards.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams to design and price suitable solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals efficiently while ensuring profitability.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies in the IT sector.
  • Collect customer and market feedback to identify product gaps or potential improvements.
  • Report on market intelligence and customer feedback to help shape future sales strategies.

5. Reporting & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, client interactions, and sales activities using the company s CRM software.
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to the sales manager on sales pipeline, progress, and challenges.
  • Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely follow-up for renewals, payments, and service delivery.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IT products, networking, software solutions, and the general technology ecosystem.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Customer-oriented approach with a high level of professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently in a field role.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
