Required Junior Accountant - Mumbai

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling accounts payable/receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role is ideal for someone who is beginning their career in accounting and wants to gain practical experience in a structured, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting Tasks:

• Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper ledger posting.
• Maintain and update accounting records, including purchase, sales, receipts, and payments .
• Handle data entry for invoices, vouchers, and bills.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process incoming and outgoing payments accurately and on time.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices and send payment reminders.
• Assist in vendor payment processing, invoice verification, and reconciliation.

3. Bank & Ledger Reconciliation:

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Monitor petty cash expenses and reimbursements.

4. Taxation & Compliance Support:

• Assist in preparing data for GST returns, TDS, and income tax filings .
• Support senior accountants during internal and external audits .
• Help in preparing and filing statutory reports as per regulatory requirements.

5. Financial Reporting Support:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports .
• Support the month-end closing process by ensuring all entries and adjustments are recorded.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
